Experience & Purpose
Brad’s decision to start Tamarack Capital Management is rooted in 26 years of experience managing portfolios for high-net-worth families, endowments, foundations, and corporate accounts. After time at larger firms, Brad wanted to step away from institutionally-focused organizations to put every client’s best interest at the center of our work. He directs the client relationships at the firm, empowers colleagues, and leads growth initiatives. Clients find him to be intentional, analytical and caring.
Brad earned a bachelor’s degree, with concentrations in Business and American History, along with his Master of Business Administration, all from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Out of the Office
For nearly three decades, Brad and his wife Susan have called Grand Rapids their home, where they raised their two adult children, who are now pursuing their own interests. Two adopted Labrador Retrievers, Henry and Ruby, can be found by Brad’s side at home, and sometimes in the office too. Brad has served on the boards of a number of organizations throughout his career and actively supports local nonprofits.
As an active outdoors person, Brad has developed patience and awareness, which carry over to his thoughtful approach to investing. His best thinking often happens while enjoying the outdoors.
Nicole enters each client relationship with the mission of ensuring you and your family feel more than simply another account, and making all of our clients “raving fans” of Tamarack.
Susan is not a direct point of contact for clients, though works hard to ensure her behind-the-scenes contributions will enhance the client experience—and keep typos to a minimum.

Tamarack Research Analyst Program
Each year, Tamarack partners with a top-tier BBA student to assist us with portfolio analytics, investment research, and client reporting while offering our interns real-world financial experience. To date, we have enjoyed and benefited from working with three student analysts during their senior year at University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
