Tamarack Capital is a mezzanine debt provider licensed as a
Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) in 1999.
The current fund is fully-invested and is not
seeking new investment opportunities at this
time.
Principals
Loree G. Misch
Ms. Misch is the co-founder of Tamarack Capital Partners,
LLC, a Portland-based mezzanine finance lender and has 20
years of broad-based corporate finance and investment
experience in a variety of industries. Ms. Misch received
her initial corporate finance experience while working for
the Walt Disney Company. She was also the director of
financial analysis and new ventures for the University of
Florida medical school's $200 million faculty group
practice, structuring joint ventures, and evaluating new
technologies.
Prior to forming Tamarack Capital, Ms. Misch worked for a
Portland investment advisor where she was responsible for
the analysis, structuring, and legal review of private debt
and equity transactions. Ms. Misch was also actively
involved in the strategic planning and re-capitalization of
under-performing investments.
Ms. Misch earned her B.S. in Finance from the Florida
Institute of Technology, with honors, and her M.B.A. from
the University of Florida.
John S. Woolley
Mr. Woolley is a co-founder of Tamarack Capital and has
been involved in lending of various forms for the past 22
years. He received his credit training at The Bank of New
York where he was an assistant vice president responsible
for corporate lending in southern California and Hawaii.
Mr. Woolley was also a vice president at a boutique
investment bank in Portland, where he was involved in the
trading and sales of corporate bonds, as well as helping to
manage the firm's venture capital investments. Prior to
founding Tamarack Capital, Mr. Woolley was vice president
and portfolio manager for a Portland investment advisor,
where he was responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and
structuring the firm's private debt and private equity
portfolios.
Mr. Woolley has held Series 7 & Series 63 securities
licenses and received his BA in Economics from Middlebury
College in Vermont and his MBA in Finance, with honors,
from the University of Oregon.
